Steel-belt deviation results from multiple factors. The common causes are listed below:
1. Low equipment accuracy, mainly reflected in poor straightness of the equipment frame and large errors of the driving hubs, resulting in a non-rectangular structural geometry.
2. Absence of steel-belt deviation-correction adjusting devices, or incorrect adjustment methods.
3. Insufficient straightness of the steel belt. High-quality conveying steel belts require extremely high straightness.
4. Poor flatness of the steel belt, which causes uneven force-bearing surfaces.
5. Bell-mouth phenomenon of the steel belt, i.e. unequal circumferential lengths on both sides of the belt.
6. Uneven heating-cooling, pressure and tensile force.
