From July 14th to July 24th, Christian Schirnhofer, an after-sales trainer from Berndorf headquarters in Austria, conducted an 11-day specialized training on steel belt maintenance at Naut Steel Belts in Shanghai. On July 16th, the training focused on the core practical project - the steel belt trapezoidal patching process, and carried out specialized immersive practical training. Through batch and one-on-one practical teaching, the standardized maintenance skills of all staff were comprehensively enhanced.

This practical training strictly adheres to the global precision standards of Berndorf, pays close attention to the details of the process, and unifies and standardizes the operation standards. It particularly emphasizes core requirements such as a clean welding environment, regular grinding of weld seams, and uniform alignment of maintenance tools with the standards of the headquarters. It abandons the traditional extensive maintenance mode and ensures the quality of steel belt maintenance with meticulous craftsmanship.

 

During the training, Christian provided one-on-one follow-up and guidance throughout the process, meticulously breaking down the complete set of standardized procedures for trapezoidal patching of steel belts. He corrected the operational details of the employees step by step to ensure that each trainee thoroughly understood the process specifications and proficiently mastered practical operation skills. The complete seven standard operation procedures are as follows:

1. Precise measurement marking: Accurately survey the damaged area of the steel belt, standardly mark the repair range, and ensure accurate data and error-free positioning.

 2. Remove the damaged area: Cut and remove the damaged part according to the standard process to ensure that the cut is neat and does not damage the intact base material. 

3. Prepare trapezoidal steel belt materials: Match and adapt trapezoidal repair steel belts based on the on-site working conditions, and complete the material pretreatment work. 

4. Replace the trapezoidal steel belt material: Precisely align and install the repaired steel belt in a fit to ensure that the flatness and fit meet the standards. 

5. Standardized welding operations: Keep the working environment clean, standardize welding operations, and ensure the firmness and reliability of the welded structure.

 6. Regularly grind weld seams: Grind weld seams in the direction unified by the headquarters to optimize the flatness of the steel belt and eliminate the problem of uneven force distribution.

 7. Non-destructive quality inspection with coupling agent: Use coupling agent to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the repair area, identify potential hazards, and ensure that the repair quality complies with regulations and standards.

 

The entire practical training was full of valuable content and highly operational. All the trainees participated in the practical exercises. Under professional guidance, they standardized each step of the operation process, effectively overcame the difficulties in the repair and maintenance of steel belt trapezoidal repair, further unified the standardized process of the headquarters, and strengthened the after-sales maintenance technical strength of the team.
